Hello

Why does the DDR3 footprint used on the REX have extra mechanical pads and why is it much bigger that the actual chip?

Hi Bernt, it doesnt have to be so big, but it is the biggest fooptrint for biggest memory chip which is also for example used on some JEDEC DDR3 memory module designs. Have a nice day, Robert
